Dual Language Immersion- SPANISH (Available to incoming Kindergarten and 1st Grade students only) - Parents of incoming Kindergarten students who are interested in applying for our Spanish Immersion Program at Claymont, Lancashire, and/or Maple Lane schools may use this Choice application. Please be sure to indicate whether you are only interested in Spanish Immersion or if you are interested in the Choice school for both Spanish Immersion and Regular Education classes. There will be a drop-down box when choosing a Spanish Immersion school to indicate both Spanish Immersion and Regular Education.

Registration Requirements - Any students who are not currently enrolled in a Delaware Public School must pre-register with their assigned feeder school before they will be considered for Choice. Please visit https://arcgis.doe.k12.de.us/school_locator/ to search for your assigned feeder school according to your address.

Applying students entering Grades 2 – 12, who were not enrolled in a Brandywine School District school during the previous school year (2022-2023), must provide the following documentation to the Choice Office or with their online Choice application in order for the application to be complete:

¹ If attendance is not listed on a report card, your student's school may print out an attendance record from their school computer system (such as "eSchool"), or write a letter on school letterhead in regards to any absences and/or tardies.

² Your student's school may either print a discipline report from their school computer system (such as "eSchool"), or write a letter on school letterhead in regards to any suspensions and/or detentions, or a lack thereof.

It is important to choose the correct grade your student will be entering for the 2024-2025 school year. Entering the incorrect grade will void your application and will result in the application being withdrawn.

Transportation to and from a Choice School is the responsibility of the parent/guardian. Bus transportation will be provided from an already existing Brandywine School District bus stop only if there is space on the bus. The parent/guardian is responsible for getting the student to the most convenient bus stop with available space.
