The Capital School District is once again pleased to offer a Kindergarten Spanish Immersion Program during the 2017-18 academic year. This district program, originally based at South Dover Elementary, has now expanded to Fairview Elementary School and is limited to 44 students per school who will be selected through a lottery process.

Children selected for Capital’s immersion program at South Dover and Fairview Elementary will automatically have the opportunity to continue with Spanish immersion classes through 4th grade. These students will then have the chance to take Spanish at both the middle and high school levels. Long term, students participating in the immersion program will have the chance to earn college credit for the language while still in high school.

IMPORTANT: To apply for the kindergarten Spanish Immersion Program, select KN as the applying grade and South Dover or Fairview Elementary School as the applying school.

The Capital School District does not discriminate in employment, educational programs, services or activities based on race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability in accordance with state and federal laws. The District offers additional services to students with limited English language skills or with disabilities so that they may benefit from these programs.
