IMPORTANT ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION

• Only 8th graders entering 9th grade may apply.
• Applicants must reside within one of the following school districts in New Castle County, Delaware:
  • Appoquinimink
  • Brandywine
  • Christina
  • Colonial
  • Red Clay Consolidated
• Students applying for 10th grade must use a different application. Click here for the 10th Grade Application, Timeline and Process.
• Students in Life Skills programs, DeSSA Alternate Assessment, or working toward a Diploma of Alternate Achievement Standards must apply through a separate STEP application. Click here for STEP Information and Application.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Before starting your application, make sure you have the following documents ready to upload (PDF or JPG format). All files must be clear and readable.

1. 7th Grade Final Report Card
   • Must include student's full legal name and attendance information
   • Interim or progress reports are not accepted
2. 8th Grade First Marking Period (or Trimester) Report Card
   • Must include student's full legal name and attendance information
   • Interim or progress reports are not accepted
3. Discipline Records for both 2024–2025 and 2025–2026 School Years
   • May be combined into one report
   • Acceptable documentation:
     • Printed report from an official school system (e.g., eSchool, Infinite Campus)
     • Letter on official school letterhead detailing any discipline actions, or confirming none
     • Completed Student Data Sheet

BEFORE YOU APPLY – KEY INFORMATION

1. Admissions are not first-come, first-served.
   All applications submitted by the deadline receive equal consideration.
2. Use a valid parent/guardian email address.
   This is where all communications—including admissions decisions—will be sent.
3. Enter your child’s full legal name exactly as it appears on school records.
   • Name and date of birth must match school records exactly.
   • Applications with mismatched records will be marked Pending and will not be reviewed.
4. Submit only one application per student.
   • Duplicate applications will be deleted.
   • Need to make changes? Contact the Admissions Office directly.
5. Save your confirmation email.
   • You’ll receive it immediately after submitting the application. It contains your confirmation number. This number is important for future inquiries.
   • If you don’t see it:
     • Check spam/junk folders
     • Confirm your email address was entered correctly
     • Make sure you clicked “Submit”

Incomplete applications will not be processed.
It is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to submit all required materials.
