Your child must be registered in their feeder school before completing the online School Choice application.

This online application is only for students entering the 9th grade for the 2025-2026 school year.

You are applying for 10th grade. Instead, please click here for the 10th grade process and application.

You do not live in the feeder school area for Appoquinimink, Brandywine, Christina, Colonial, and Red Clay School Districts in New Castle County. Only eighth grade students who live within the boundaries of the Appoquinimink, Brandywine, Christina, Colonial or Red Clay school districts in New Castle County are eligible to apply for admission.

One or more of the following applies to your child:
- Currently in a Life Skills program.
- Is included in the DeSSA Alternate Assessment.
- May be working toward a Diploma of Alternate Achievement Standards

What you need to know before completing this application:

Admissions offers are NOT on a first-come, first-served basis.

Provide an active and maintained parent email address in the application– All communications, including admissions offers, will be done via this email address.

Have your report cards and discipline reports ready before you apply –

- - You will need a copy of the 7th grade final report card.
  - You will need a copy of the first marking period/trimester report card for 8th grade.
  - Copies of report cards must be official report cards that include the name of the student and attendance information. Interim/Progress Reports are NOT acceptable. Must be readable.
  - Discipline Record for 2023-2024 School Year.
  - Discipline Record for Current School Year.
  - Choose one of the three acceptable discipline reports from your student’s current school:
    - Print a discipline report from their school computer system (such as eSchool) or
    - A letter written on school letterhead in regards to any suspensions and/or detentions, or lack thereof or
    - Complete the Student Data Sheet
  - Uploaded report cards files must be in JPG or PDF formats.

Apply using your child’s official/legal name as it appears on your child’s report cards - For applications to be considered, there must be an active enrollment in a Delaware public school. The student's first name, last name, and date of birth on the application must match an active enrollment or pre-registration record. Applications that do not match are marked Pending and are not considered for admissions.
Submit only one application per student.

Save your Confirmation Email Notification- You will immediately receive an email confirming that your application was submitted. This email will contain your confirmation number.

Incomplete applications will not be processed. It is your responsibility to complete the application.
